
Kate Eshelby, born in 1974, is a freelance photojournalist, based in London. Although Kate has worked worldwide, her specialty and greatest love is Africa, and photographing people.
Kate's pictures and articles have appeared in numerous publications including the Times, Guardian, Observer, Financial Times, Independent, Independent on Sunday, Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Mail On Sunday, Sunday Herald, Traveller, Tatler, Spectator, Geographical, British Medical Journal, Ecologist, New African, BBC Focus on Africa, Adventure Travel, Travel Africa, Organic Life, Msafiri, Selamta, Outdoor photography and Professional Photographer.
Kate has received numerous awards, including the John Radford Award for Geographical Photography, Environmental Photographer of the Year, Adventure Travel Photography Award and Sunday Times Travel Photography Award.
Kate has had several exhibitions of her work, and given talks at the Royal Geographical Society.
Kate has also worked on photographic assignments for many charities, including Wateraid, Tree Aid, The Rainforest Foundation, Save the Rhino International, Survival International, Farm Africa and Oxfam.
